In order to honor this great storyteller, we at Azuka Theatre have established The Veronica Griego Fund. The fund will be used to encourage the creation and development of new work for the American Theater. The monies will be used to provide a playwright with either a stipend so they may concentrate on their writing; or conduct a workshop of their play with actors, directors and dramaturges enabling the playwright to take their play to another level. Focus will be given to writers from the Philadelphia area in order to promote the work being created by local writers.
