AzukaFest! Reading: Rabbits in Hats by Noah Mannix & Tell-Tale Heart of Jackson Street by Genne Murphy

  • Proscenium Theatre at The Drake 302 S. Hicks Street Philadelphia, PA 19102 United States (map)

Rabbits in Hats
Rabbits in Hats is a play about failure, and desperation, and capture, and the cost of freedom. Rabbits in Hats is a sketch of a comic strip of a play, or maybe the other way around.

Tell-Tale Heart of Jackson Street
"It’s hard not to be nervous, the world we live in. My body aches. I sit in my chair, by the window. On Jackson Street. I listen at this window, every day. And I feel it, hear it: The world. The world is – beating. Pulsing. Groaning."

So begins Cora's dark tale, as she grapples with stark changes in the world and the intruding thoughts of her neighbors. A gripping modern-day reimagining of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart."
