Jacqueline is a playwright, dramaturg, and teaching artist. Skin & Bone, which had its world premiere at Azuka, will be published in New Playwrights: Best Plays of 2014. Her new comedyTrish Tinkler Gets Saved will world premiere at the 2015 Women’s Voices Festival in Washington DC and she is developing a new Southern Gothic piece, The Arsonists, with Azuka. Her recent play, Slip/Shot, won the Barrymore Award for Outstanding New Play and the Brown Martin Award. Slip/Shot was also nominated for Weissberger Award, developed at PlayPenn and the Lark's Playwrights' Week, and featured in American Theatre Magazine. Her other original plays include The Oath (Manhattan Theatre Works), the terrible girls (Azuka Theatre) and The Burning Season (Winner, New Plays for the 21st Century Award). She has been a finalist/semi-finalist for the Leah Ryan Playwriting Prize, the Terrence McNally Award, the Haas Award, New Dramatists, O’Neill Playwrights Conference, Seven Devils, Next Generation Playwrights Award, and the Stone New Play Award.
