Imani Alyse Redman

Playwright

Imani Alyse Redman is a writer, performer, creator, and teaching artist that originally hails from Jersey and is currently based out of Philly. She was a National Young Playwright in Residence with Echo Theatre Company in LA. She has had readings at Theater Development Fund’s PlayLab and Wordlab programs, New South Young Playwrights Festival, and Shellscrape Theatre Company. She was a semifinalist in the Lanford Wilson Playwriting Festival and for SPACE at Ryder Farms program. As a performer she has participated in shows such as Black Girl Joy, The Defiance of Dandelions, Machinal, Once on This Island, and Warriors Don't Cry.
