Notification of Azuka’s Move to Digital Submissions

In an effort to reduce the unpaid time and costly resources required of Philadelphia performers to submit for auditions, Azuka Theatre is moving to a simple digital submission process.

How does it work?

Any performer who wishes to submit for our season, including readings and workshops happening throughout the calendar year, may do so via a simple Google form. The link to this form is located on our website at www.azukatheatre.org/submissions. The form includes a few questions, a space to include a video link of up to 3 minutes in length, and space to upload a headshot and/or resume if you have one. There is no need to come to our offices or send physical copies of your headshot/resume. Many directors work with us throughout the season, and each one will have access to our complete digital database. Our fully-produced shows will involve an in-person callback. Readings and workshops will be cast directly from submissions. Performers may update their materials with us as frequently or as infrequently as they’d like. There is no need to spend time re-submitting every year unless they’d like to. We will keep all materials on file indefinitely. Performers may also remove their submission from our files at any time.

Stressed out about digital submissions?

We hear you. Please do not worry about “production value.” Don’t worry about having the best quality camera. Don’t worry about fancy editing. We just want to see you and your work. No frills necessary.

Questions? Concerns?

This is new for us! All questions welcome. If you are unable to provide a video submission for any reason, let us know. We are happy to help. Please email casting@azukatheatre.org.
